La Gamme Beaujolaise brings together vinegrower-winemakers who craft their wines on human-sized estates that are usually family orientated, working in respect for the tradition and know-how that has been passed down to them.

The Gamme Beaujolaise vinegrower-winemakers pay the utmost care and attention to every one of the jobs in their profession. Each estate tends its own vines, crafts and matures it's own terroir wines, bringing you unique and authenticproducts. Each plot in each appellation is different from the next, with its own personality; allowing the winemakers to craft a mosaic of wines that all all very different.

A little history...

1999 : Birth of, La Gamme Beaujolaise, when one of the vinegrower-winemakers was looking to join forces with other estates to share the costs of taking part in a trade fair. Since then, new vinegrower-winemakers with the same ethos of respect, passion and excellence have joined the group.

2019 : 20 years later, La Gamme Beaujolaise is made up of 8 artisan vinegrower-winemakers, who all have at heart to promote Beaujolais wines and defent the heritage they love so much. 

The love of a job well done combined with the diversity of their terroirs means that the Gamme Beaujolaise artisan vinegrower-winemakers often win awards in the most prestigious competitions and guide books (Guide Hachette, St Vincent in Mâcon, Concours des grands vins de France in Mâcon, etc.). Wines from the group are also regularly highlighted in well respected professional guide books and reviews.

Which appellations do the Gamme Beaujolaise vinegrower-winemakers craft?

La Gamme Beaujolais brings you all the Beaujolais appellations , as well as several great Mâconnais appellations.
Red, white, rosé, still or sparkling : you can't but find a wine to your taste!

AOC Beaujolais vineyards are to be found in the French Rhône and Saône-et-Loire departments, running down from vinegrowing Burgundy. From the town of Mâcon to the Mont du Lyonnais hills; breathtaking undulating landscapes as far as the eye can see. The Massif Central protects the estates from too much adverse weather.

All 10 Beaujolais Crus as well as Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages - the great majority of which are crafted with the Gamay grape - are to be found in the Gamme Beaujolaise range: all that's left for you to do is choose yours!

 

The main grape variety for the Mâconnais appellationsis Chardonnay. The AOC area is in the Saône-et-Loire department of France, to the south of Burgundy, between the Grosne and Saône Vallies. Planted at up to 400 metres above sea-level, the vines grow on slopes that are sometimes very steep and give panoramic views that are far-reaching and surprising.

These vines form the backbone for 5 named Village and 6 Regional Burgundian appellations. These are powerful wines, bursting with aromas and flavours.

 

Both these territories are cradle to many renowned prestigious appellationsthat are distributed the world over. Beaujolais and Mâconnais wines' personalities bear the stamp of their terroirs and are really varied, depending on the vallies, slopes and dells, aspect, soil type and micro-climate they come from.
